The WESG 2016 Asia-Pacific Regional Finals has reached the grand final stage, as FIVE defeated VG.CyberZen to make it through and K23 powered through the bracket without dropping a map. The six spots for the WESG Global Finals have been determined as well.
The playoffs started with most of the favorites making it through, as the Chinese teams FIVE and VG.CyberZen took down ENZO and Orange, respectively.
In the other side of the bracket, K23 continued with solid performances, taking down Signature with a 16-13, 16-10 on Overpass and Dust2. The final match of the quarter final saw Fire Dragoon edge out Athletico in two tight maps, taking Cobblestone in overtime before closing Dust2 16-14.
FIVE managed to defeat VG.CyberZen to get to the grand final
K23 asserted their dominance against Fire Dragoon in the semi-final, dropping only eight rounds in two maps—thanks to dominant performances from the Gambit duo Dauren "AdreN" Kystaubayev and Rustem "mou" Telepov.

With six spots for the WESG Global Finals to be decided, two additional matches were played between teams that were defeated in the quarter-finals.
In the first one, it was Tosapol "TOR" Saekow's Signature that overpowered the stand-in plagued Athletico 2-0, while ENZO took down Orange 2-1, losing one map in double overtime but winning the other two in convincing fashion.
